Bowflex is the place to comparison-shop if you want compact, home-first fitness gear — think SelectTech adjustable dumbbells, Bowflex home gyms and compact cardio like the Max Trainer. Worth comparing when you need space-saving gear and subscription workout options.
Space-saving SelectTech
Adjustable dumbbells often replace several weight sets — a compact, long-term cost saver for small spaces.
Predictable sale windows
Bowflex runs clear seasonal promotions (Black Friday, New Year); waiting for those usually nets the biggest savings.
Financing and bundles
On-site monthly payment plans and occasional bundles (machine + accessories) make big purchases easier to budget.
What Bowflex is known for
Bowflex’s standout products are compact strength systems designed for home use: the SelectTech adjustable dumbbells and stacked home gyms. Their cardio range emphasizes compact designs too — the Max Trainer and TreadClimber lines aim to deliver efficient workouts with a smaller footprint than full-size ellipticals or treadmills.
How to get the best price here
Watch Bowflex’s site promo page and email signups — the deepest discounts typically land around Black Friday, New Year and other holiday sales. Compare the exact model on Amazon and big-box retailers (SelectTech dumbbells often appear there). Use Bowflex financing to spread cost, and look for on-site bundles that include benches or accessory packs to improve per-item value.
Shipping, returns and trust signals
Small accessories ship quickly; large machines ship via freight and commonly take a week or two. Return rules differ by product — smaller items follow standard returns, while heavy equipment may require coordination with Bowflex support and could involve pickup/restocking steps. Bowflex also offers manufacturer support and published warranties on most machines — check each product page before buying.

Verdict
Worth it when
- You want a compact alternative to full free-weight sets (SelectTech dumbbells replace multiple plates).
- You need a space-saving integrated home gym or compact cardio unit with guided workouts.
- You plan to buy during a major sale or use on-site financing to spread payments.
Skip it if
- You’re shopping solely for the lowest sticker price — third-party sellers or used gear can undercut Bowflex.
- You need same-day pickup or instant setup — freight delivery for large machines can take a week or more.
